44th Backgammon Finnish open will be played in May 2018 in the capital of Finland, Helsinki! Players can choose to participate in a warm-up tournament, three main flights, last chance- tournament and smaller and bigger jackpots! Warm-up tournament will be played on Friday at downtown Helsinki in gastropub Stone’s and the main tournament will be played by the seaside in Hakaniemi, Helsinki in a conference room of hotel Scandic Paasi and in restaurant Graniittilinna. Welcome!

The playing venue for Saturday is the conference room Siltasaari in the hotel Scandic Paasi. The conference room is 160 m2 in size and has served as a movie theater for silent film in the 1920s and after that a poolroom for 50 years.

The playing venue for Sunday is the restaurant Graniittilinna in Hakaniemi, Helsinki. Restaurant is closed for public that day and is reserved solely to backgammon Finnish open! Privacy is guaranteed and restaurant services can be found from the neighboring restaurant Juttutupa or from several other restaurants within walking distance.

Accomodation and arrival to the playing venues in Hakaniemi, Helsinki
Hotel Scandic Paasi (Paasivuorenkatu 5 B, Helsinki) is the most convenient place to stay, but there are other hotels nearby and Hakaniemi is close to the center of Helsinki and can be accessed by metro, by bus and by tram numbers 3,6 and 9.
The playing venue on Saturday is the conference room Siltasaari in hotel Scandic Paasi which can be accessed also through restaurant Juttutupa.
Restaurant Graniittilinna, the playing venue on Sunday is also part of the same large building complex and can also be accessed through restaurant Juttutupa (the address for both is Säästöpankinranta 6, Helsinki).
